A Debt Dispute, a Shotgun and a 100-Kilometre Manhunt: Gunman Kills Eight Across Three Turkish Villages

A gunman armed with a pump-action shotgun killed eight people across three villages in Afyonkarahisar province on November 5 — three men in Ayazini, three people in Kıyır and two teachers in Yukarıtandır — critically wounded a woman driver in the provincial capital, and was captured after a manhunt that ended in neighbouring Eskişehir province. Investigators say the rampage began with a debt dispute; the suspect was remanded in custody on November 6.
