Signal Post News exists for readers who want to understand the world. Our comment sections and social channels — @signalpostnews on X, Instagram and Threads, and Signal Post News on Facebook and Reddit — extend that mission: a place for factual, good-faith discussion of the news.
What is welcome
- On-topic discussion grounded in facts and sources.
- Respectful disagreement — challenge the argument, not the person.
- Additional context, primary sources and firsthand accounts.
- Questions about our reporting, asked in good faith.
What is not
- Abuse, harassment, hate speech or threats — toward anyone.
- Misinformation, fabricated quotes, manipulated media.
- Spam, scams, commercial solicitation and coordinated inauthentic behavior.
- Doxxing or publishing people’s private information.
- Graphic or gratuitously violent content.
Moderation
We moderate to keep discussion useful. Comments that breach these guidelines may be removed; repeat or serious breaches lead to blocking. Moderation is viewpoint-neutral: criticism of our reporting — including sharp criticism — is welcome when it follows the rules above. Reporting problems
If you see abuse, misinformation or spam in our comment sections or on our social channels, do not engage with it — report it through the platform’s reporting tools and, where it concerns our journalism, email news@signalpostnews.com with a link or screenshot. Reports are reviewed by a moderator, not an algorithm alone.
A note on our own conduct
We hold ourselves to the same standard. Our social accounts post our journalism and engage with readers factually and professionally: we reply to genuine questions, thank supporters, and ignore abuse rather than amplifying it. We never argue with readers, take partisan sides, or send unsolicited direct messages.
