Our approach
Signal Post News is designed to minimize data collection. Reading the publication does not require an account, and we do not sell personal information. This notice describes the limited information we do handle.
What we collect
- Messages you send us: when you use a contact form or email news@signalpostnews.com, we receive the contents of your message and your contact details, used only to respond.
- Newsletter signups: your email address, used only to send the newsletter you requested. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Basic technical data: our hosting provider processes standard server logs (such as IP addresses and user agents) to operate and secure the site.
What we do not do
We do not run third-party advertising trackers, we do not build behavioral profiles of readers, and we do not share your information with data brokers. Embedded social-media content is loaded only where we include it, and is governed by those platforms’ policies.
Cookies
We use only cookies strictly necessary for the site to function (such as remembering interface preferences). We do not use analytics or advertising cookies that follow you across the web.
Your rights and contact
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing news@signalpostnews.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We respond within 30 days. This notice is effective September 22, 2026; material changes will be noted here with a new effective date.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was provided: correspondence is retained while it remains relevant to editorial work, newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe, and server logs on the short rolling basis our hosting provider uses for security. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted.
Children
Signal Post News is a general-audience publication not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
