What we do
Signal Post News is an independent digital newsroom. We publish original reporting and analysis across world affairs, conflict and security, politics, markets and business, technology, culture, fashion, food, travel, sport and royal institutions. Every story is written as a complete article — with a clear thesis, sourced facts, context and a forward look — never as a link roundup or a rewritten wire blurb.
Our coverage starts from a simple question: why does this matter, and to whom? A market move is explained through who gains and who pays. A diplomatic statement is weighed against what is independently verifiable. A cultural moment is placed in the longer story of the people and institutions behind it.
How we report
Accuracy comes before speed, but we aim for both. Claims are traced to evidence: official statements, documents, eyewitness accounts, expert analysis or verified data. Where facts are disputed — as they often are in war reporting — we attribute each claim to its source and say plainly what remains unverified. Analysis is labeled as analysis; it never masquerades as fact.
We correct substantive errors transparently and date time-sensitive figures so a reader never mistakes a snapshot for live data. Photographs are real, credited and licensed; we do not publish AI-generated news imagery.
Who reads Signal Post News
Our readers include professionals, business leaders, policymakers, researchers and local communities — alongside international readers who want concise, credible reporting without noise. We write for people who need to act on what they read, and for anyone who simply wants to understand the world a little better each day.
Our commitments
- Independence: editorial judgment is separate from commercial relationships. Sponsored or affiliate material is always identified.
- Transparency: sourcing is described, uncertainty is acknowledged, and corrections are visible.
- Responsibility: we weigh the public interest against the risk of harm, especially when reporting on conflict, vulnerable people and ongoing investigations.
- Access: our reporting is available to everyone, funded by readers.
