Leadership
Signal Post News is owned and published by Signal Post News, Inc.. Day-to-day coverage is run by an Editor-in-Chief and a Managing Editor:
- Editor-in-Chief — responsible for editorial judgment across the publication: what we cover, how we frame it, and the standards every story must meet.
- Managing Editor — runs the daily operation: assignments, deadlines, copy flow and coordination between desks.
Desks
- News Desk — breaking world news, politics, diplomacy and general assignment reporting.
- War & Security Desk — armed conflicts and security crises, reported neutrally with claims attributed to their sources.
- Business & Tech Desk — companies, markets, the economy, technology, crypto and cybersecurity.
- Culture Desk — fashion, royals, entertainment, celebrity, film, health, food, travel, science and the arts of everyday life.
- Sports Desk — soccer, baseball and the business and culture of sport.
- Photo Desk — visual journalism: sourcing, verifying and crediting every photograph we publish.
Contributors
Approved reporters, contributors and photographers work alongside the desks under the same standards. Contributors are identified by role on their stories, and their work passes through the same editing and fact-checking process as staff reporting. How the newsroom works
Stories are commissioned, reported, edited and checked before publication. Time-sensitive developments are updated as verified facts arrive, with substantive changes noted. The desks share one standard: every claim traceable to evidence, every uncertainty stated, every correction visible.
Editorial independence
The newsroom’s editorial judgment is independent of any commercial, political or personal interest of the publication’s ownership. Advertisers, partners and funders do not review, approve or influence coverage; sponsored or affiliate material is always clearly labeled and produced separately from editorial work. Contributors and staff are expected to disclose conflicts and to recuse themselves where disclosure is not enough.
Corrections and accountability
The masthead is accountable to readers. Substantive errors are corrected visibly under our corrections policy, ethical concerns can be raised at news@signalpostnews.com, and community standards are enforced under our community guidelines.
